Tis’ the season
It’s easy to let the Advent month turn into a season of rush and stress. This year as a family we have promised to dial it back a notch, less spending, less rushing and less stress. For the first time ever we are not having a traditional Christmas dinner on Christmas day and opting for an Indian take out. Yep, you read that correctly. Our kids idea and I am slowly but surely coming round to it. But what will I do if I am not cooking on Christmas morning? Wow, I’ll actually have a little time- or maybe I’ll just be cooking for Boxing day!
Celebrate the true meaning of Christmas this holiday season
Traditional Christmas or alternative, whether you have a lot or a little, the story of the birth of Jesus remains the same- a saviour for mankind. Born into this world as a tiny baby, fully God and in human form. Jesus- bringing peace, love and the hope of eternal life to everyone who believes in him.

Love with all your heart
Jesus said ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul, and all your mind’ (Matthew 22: 37). He states that this is the first and greatest commandment. As we practice this in our own lives it helps us to then love others. Jesus then tells us to ‘love your neighbour as yourself’. This season think about those that you love, but also those that you can reach out to and show love in small and meaningful ways.
